These are our terms and conditions of enrolment – please read these in full, any questions, queries, or anything you need clarifying please do not hesitate to get in touch via email or phone.

  1. FEES

  1. Our fees are paid monthly, due on 1st of each month. They are based on classes running during the school year (September to July) during School Term time, based on the Newcastle Schools Terms. The fee is divided into 11 instalments due the 1st of each month.

  2. Class fees are as follows

    1. 1 class per week is £19.50 per month

    2. 2 classes per week is £34.00 per month

    3. 3 classes per week is £50.00 per month

    4. Unlimited classes (subject to space) per week is £66.00 per month

  3. A sibling discount will be applied to any sibling enrolled with us. The subsequent children will receive a £5 deduction from their bill. The ‘first child’ is the child who attends the most classes.

  4. The fees cover the weekly classes plus access to our technique videos and bonus mini sessions available on our website (details will be provided upon enrolment).



    1. Payment for your child/ren is due by the 1st of the month (unless another date has been agreed between React Dance Academy and yourself)

    2. Payment is to be made by Standing Order or Bank Transfer to our Bank Account: Sort Code 04-00-04 and Account Number 6262 3780. This is an Monzo Business Account – Leanne Conway – React Dance and Fitness.

    3. Late payments will see a reminder letter emailed 7 days after the payment due date. A late admin fee of £5 will be applied after 14 days and no agreement has been put in place regarding payment schedule.

    4. Non payment may result in refusal of admittance to class.

    1. Our required school uniform if as follows (once your child has decided that they are happily settled)

      1. FIRST STEPS CLASSES: easy to move in, close fitting clothes such as t-shirts, leggings, jogging pants

      2. JUNIORS: an IDTA royal blue leotard (with or without a matching skirt) or Navy Blue shorts and White Plain T-shirt

      3. INTERS: an IDTA Navy blue leotard or Navy Blue shorts and White Plain T-shirt

    2. With these we suggest either plain navy/black leggings, jazz pants or shorts and form fitting t-shirts, ballet cardigans or similar (please ensure these are form fitting and not baggy as we need to see the body line.)

    3. Shoes will depend on the class that your child takes

      1. Ballet / Contemporary – suggested leather pink/skin tone ballet shoes with elastics

      2. Tap – low Cuban heels with heel and toe taps

      3. All other – jazz shoes/boots/trainers

    4. Hair should be tied up and off the face – ideally ponytails or ballet buns are great for long hair

    5. No jewellery to be worn during classes for safety



    1. Good attendance is expected at classes, especially if your child takes part in performances or examinations. It can be difficult to ‘catch up’ if too many sessions are missed without holding others back. We are more than happy to arrange a Private Session to catch your child up on any missed elements for a show or exam.

    2. If your child is missing from a class we will drop you an email to check in and let you know what we did in the class, and provide you with any updates.



    1. We expect all children to adhere to respectful behaviour to each other and to staff.

    2. We have a no tolerance policy on bullying – any issues of bullying should be brought to my attention immediately and we will do our best to manage this matter quickly.

    3. There is a zero tolerance of any violent behaviour – both physical and verbal/digitally communicated threats. Violence in our classroom will result in the child/ren being sat out on a seat away from all students and parents called to immediately collect. The matter will be discussed outside the classroom situation with all involved parties

    4. We have classroom rules that we expect all children and parents to comply with – they are on our wall in the studio and based on children’s input to ensure happy, fun, inclusive classes.



    1. Credit notes are issued to cover circumstances long term absence through injury or illness only if we are made aware as soon as you are unable to attend due to injury. They are not issued after a class absence For example class paid for on 1st September and an injury preventing dance occurs on 6th and their class is the 8th and they will be absent for 2 weeks, notice must be given before their class starts on the 8th – a credit note will be issued for the classes that would be missed during that month and will be accepted on the next months payment.

    2. Fees are not waived in respect of family holidays, school trips, school exams or short term sickness.

    3. Instances of long term sickness or injury will be assessed on an individual basis.



    1. Occasionally it is necessary to temporarily change the venue of a class, or postpone it to a later date. Where this occurs React Dance Academy will try to notify parents either by the studio notice board, facebook page, text, phone or word of mouth.

    2. We reserve the right to cancel any classes any time up to and including the date the class starts. Should this occur we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible via the facebook page, text or phone/word of mouth.

    3. If we are faced with a sudden cancellation due to bad weather, centre closure or health or safety issue then the classes will be conducted on zoom a free online video conference app/website. This is free to use and where possible classes would just run as timetabled.

    4. If classes can’t be rescheduled or conducted online – a credit note will be issued for the equivalent value of that session.



    1. Showcases are an optional offering for all children to take part in. They will come with a separate enrolment link and a specific set of terms and conditions that are relevant to the performance, the venue and the student requirements for rehearsals and performing.

    2. To take part in any element of a showcase an enrolment form must be completed, and the fee paid in full.



    1. Examinations are an optional offering for all children to take part in. They will come with a separate enrolment link and a specific set of terms and conditions that are relevant to the exams, the venue and the student requirements for practice and the exam itself.

    2. To take part in and exam an enrolment form must be completed, and the fee paid in full.

    1. All teachers are qualified, DBS checked and insured. However, due to the nature of teaching performing arts, sometimes it is necessary to correct positions physically. This is always conducted with care and professionalism.

    2. The safeguarding of children is of paramount importance. On school trips and at school events, if parents are not present, then React Dance Academy staff or council approved chaperones will be the responsible adults.

    3. At school shows voluntary licenced chaperones may be used and, jointly with React Dance staff, will take responsibility for the welfare of the children. No child will be allowed to leave any premises unless a parent is there to collect them UNLESS the principal has been informed that alternative arrangements are in place, ie a child can walk home alone. If any parent has a concern regarding safeguarding then please inform the principal immediately so that it can be rectified.

    4. Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be announced on the facebook page, website and notice board at React Dance Studio, in Kenton Park Sports Centre.



    1. React Dance do not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury arising from errors or omissions on the registration form whether completed by you or the person in charge of your child at the time of enrolment.

    2. React Dance do not accept liability for personal injury to any child attending class, with the exception of such injury being caused by negligence or default of any member of our staff or any other default on our part.

    3. React Dance do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.

    4. React Dance do not accept responsibility for any loss or expense due to circumstances beyond our control.

    5. React Dance is only responsible for pupils while they are in their class. Children cannot be supervised whilst they are outside class. Young children must be collected promptly at the end of their class.

    6. React Dance holds Public Liability Insurance.



    1. These terms and conditions, and any enrolment forms you have signed, constitute an agreement between you and us in connection to classes or any services superseding any prior agreement.

    2. Attendance at class is deemed to be acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions.

    3. It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to notify React Dance of any illness or injury that may affect the child’s participation at class.

    4. It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to ensure that we have the correct details for you and your child and keep us updated of any changes to health.

    5. It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to regularly read the emails sent/website/facebook information and/or the notice board in order to be fully aware of all upcoming events.

    6. In the event that we consider you to be in breach of these terms & conditions or that your child is disruptive to other pupils or staff, teachers or venue staff, we reserve the right to exclude your child from any activity within the school.

    7. Please retain all cash payment receipts as chequebook stubs are not proof of payment for classes. Online transactions are recorded in your banks statements or where used your paypal history. Where there is a dispute, if the Parent or Guardian cannot provide proof of payment, they must accept React Dance’s records.

    8. React Dance primarily hires a studio space in Kenton Park Sports Centre for classes (with other venues for performances, rehearsals or exams); therefore, all React Dance staff, parents and pupils must be respectful to our neighbours and arrive & leave responsibly.

    9. Photographs and video footage of pupils taken by React Dance may be used on our website/social media pages, and for publicity purposes as per your enrolment form. If you do not wish your child’s image to be used for these purposes you must inform us in writing to
